Damaged Fire Extinguisher Motorcycle Repaired

The damaged fire extinguisher motorcycles which left neglected for months at the back yard of Kebon Sirih Urban Village, Menteng Sub-District, Central Jakarta, are finally repaired by local Fire and Disaster Handling Sub-Department. Now, those vehicles are ready to be used in extinguishing fire in dense settlements.

Alhamdulillah, the (damaged) fire extinguisher motorcycles in urban village office have been repaired about two weeks ago,” stated Head of Kebon Sirih Urban Village, Rachmat Ismail, Tuesday (9/2).

According to Ismail, those vehicles are ready to be operated in prone to fire settlements, such as RW 08 and 10 Jalan Kali Pasir, as well as RW 09 Jalan Menteng Kecil Dalam.

1,950 Tambora Residents Trained to Extinguish Fire

Meanwhile, Muhammad Dayat (41), resident of RW 08 Jalan Kali Pasir, welcomes positively the existence of fire extinguisher motorcycles in his neighborhood.

“We are thankful here in Kebon Sirih Urban Village there are fire extinguisher motorcycles to extinguish the fire. Hopefully the urban village officials could maintain them well, so those vehicles would not damage again,” he expressed.
